20 October 2015 - Philippine Ambassador to the United Kingdom (UK) Enrique A. Manalo addressed UK and ASEAN business leaders at the UK-ASEAN Dialogue conference at Asia House in London last October 13.

Ambassador Manalo was invited as a panelist and resource person on ASEAN economic integration and trade and investment opportunities in the region. He joined a select group of speakers which included Professor Danny Quah of the London School of Economics, Tony Fernandes of AirAsia Group, Gregory Hodkinson of Arup, and former EU Commissioner Lord Mandelson, among others. UK Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills, the Rt. Hon. Sajid Javid MP, attended as the event’s keynote speaker. The discussions were concluded with closing remarks by UK’s Trade Envoy to the ASEAN Economic Community, Richard Graham MP.

The event was hosted and organized by Asia House in view of the launch of the ASEAN Economic Community at the end of the year. It also served as a platform for business leaders and senior policy makers to examine key issues and opportunities in the emerging region.
