23 October 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Doha participated in the Table Tennis Tournament of the ASEAN Committee in Doha (ACD) on October 17 held at the Qatar Bowling Center.

The Embassy’s very own Ms. Leni Geron and Ms. Sorhaya Dilabakun bested five other teams in the Women’s Doubles Division.

Thailand won in the Heads of Missions Division, Indonesia in the Heads of Missions’ Spouses Division and Mixed Doubles Division, and Vietnam in the Men’s Doubles Division.

Since its establishment in December 2012, ACD has regularly organized activities to strengthen solidarity among ASEAN missions in Doha. There are seven ASEAN resident embassies in Doha, namely, Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam. END
