28 October 2015 – Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Maria Lumen Isleta called on the Governor of Bali Province I Made Mangku Pastita at his office in Denpasar to discuss matters of mutual concern.

They agreed to explore further avenues of cooperation, particularly in the areas of tourism, preservation of culture and heritage, and education in the hotel and hospitality industries. With the opening of direct flights to and from Manila and Bali, through Philippine Airlines and Cebu Pacific, more opportunities for exchange could be facilitated.

Ambassador Isleta further mentioned to the Governor that Bali is home to a vibrant Filipino community working in the tourism industry and as teachers and administrators in international schools. END
