28 October 2015 - Professor Clarita R. Carlos, renowned political science professor of the University of the Philippines, ASEAN expert, and former President of the National Defense College of the Philippines, discussed the Bangsamoro Basic Law at the Economic Policy Research Foundation in Turkey (Tϋrkiye Ekonomi Politikaları Araştırma Vakfi or TEPAV) at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) University in Ankara on October 16.

Prof. Carlos presented her paper on the Bangsamoro Basic Law and discussed the contents of said Law with the faculty members and students of the university. Prof. Carlos emphasized that the resolution of the issues in Mindanao will lead to economic gains for the entire country. She also discussed and acknowledged Turkey’s vital role to the peace process as head of the International Decommissioning Body.
