28 October 2015, Geneva -  The Philippines  showed the world why it’s more fun celebrating the United Nation’s 70th birthday at the UN Open House in Geneva.

The Philippine Mission to the United Nations and Other International Organizations in Geneva proudly showcased Philippine culture and products to thousands of visitors who joined in the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the United Nations at the Palais des Nations, considered the second-largest building complex in Europe after Versailles.

The Open House, held on October 24, was an extraordinary event with the UN grounds opened to the public.

Visitors to the Philippine booth at the Palais got free servings of kapeng barako (Benguet Blend), pandesal con pollo asado, traditional Philippine salted bread with chicken asado filling, and chicken adobo with rice.

They also enjoyed free samples of original Filipino spirits/liquers such as Paradise Mango Rum, Very Old Captain Rum, Manille Liquour de Calamansi, Manille Liqueur de Dalandan and Amadeo Coffee Liquour, produced and manufactured by Desteleria Limtuaco.

And what’s the best way to appreciate these products? Learn more where they came from. The Philippine booth had a special area featuring the different landmark attractions in the country. The Filipino Catholic Community of Geneva (FCCG) Dance Group also performed traditional folk dances such as cariñosa, sambalero and tinikling and encouraged spectators to dance with them.
