28 October 2015 – The Philippine Embassy in Beirut, represented by Vice Consul Enrik Fort Revillas, participated in the Royale Mastermind (Trash to Fashion) group event “Manila to Beirut Showdown ala Vegas, Fantasy Style” held at the auditorium of St. Francis Church, Hamra on October 18; and at the “Star on 40’s Mothers - Season 2” on October 25. Both events were organized by SML (Samahan ng mga Manggagawa sa Lebanon).
Philippine Ambassador to Lebanon Leah M. Basinang-Ruiz, meanwhile, attended the 3rd Anniversary Celebration of the Jesus Christ Foundation in the Evangelical Church of God in Achrafieh on October 25.
In her message to the Filipino community during those events, Ambassador Basinang-Ruiz conveyed her deep appreciation for their contribution and support to the Embassy's initiatives to promote mutual appreciation and understanding between Filipinos and Lebanese. She urged them to help in disseminating information on overseas voting registration, which the Embassy was conducting, as well. She also invited the Filipino community to attend the Philippine Christmas Festival on November 29. END
