28 October 2015 - A consular outreach team from the Philippine Embassy in Brasilia, composed of Ambassador Jose D.R. Burgos, Third Secretary and Vice Consul Eric P. Valenzuela, Consular/ATN Assistant and VRM Operator Joey A. Espolong and Ms. Rosa Maria F. Candido, Embassy Assistant and Interpreter, visited São Paulo, Brazil for a consular mission and overseas voters (OV) registration on October 24 to 26, held in Hotel Ville.
A total of 37 passport applicants and 64 Overseas Voters, including 55 new registrants, availed of the mobile consular services over the weekend. The Embassy Team also accepted applications for civil registration, notarization and citizenship reacquisition.
The consular outreach team also conducted a prison visit.
São Paulo is home to the largest number of Filipinos in Brazil, most of whom are missionaries, nannies or are working in commercial establishments and hotels. END
