4 November 2015 – Philippine non-resident envoy to the Republic of Estonia Ambassador Patricia Ann V. Paez visited the 16th edition of the Tallinn Food Fair, which was held from October 28 to 30 at the Estonian Fairs Centre. During her visit, she met with Mr. Tiit Sarv of Profexpo to discuss the Philippines’ possible participation in the 2016 Tallinn Food Fair (Tallinna Toidumes) to promote Philippines food products and culinary culture. Profexpo is the exclusive organizer of the Tallinn Food Fair, an internationally-recognized exhibition of companies in food and food-related industries.

At the Tallinn Food Fair, Ambassador Paez also met with the representatives of the Estonian Crop Research Institute, which is under the Estonian Ministry of Agriculture and conducts R&D activities in agricultural production and agro-biodiversity.

The 2015 Tallinn Food Fair has drawn in 170 exhibitors and some 7,000 visitors. Now on its 16th edition, it has been running since 1993. The next fair will be held in October 2016. END
