06 November 2015 - The Philippine Embassy and the Commission on Election Office for Overseas Voting (COMELEC-OFOV) officially concluded the one-year overseas voters (OV) registration in Singapore with a program last October 31 at the Philippine chancery along Nassim Road, Singapore. Commissioner Arthur Lim and other officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs and COMELEC graced the event. The program was highlighted by an open forum with Filipino community leaders in Singapore on observations about the conduct of OAV registration in Singapore, as well issues and concerns for the forthcoming 2016 Philippines elections. During the program, Commissioner Lim and Minister and Consul General Victorio Mario M. Dimagiba, Jr. expressed their gratitude to the Filipino community in Singapore for their full support of the registration process that resulted in a high turnout of over 33,000 OV applicants in the city-state for the current registration period. A total of 1,032 Filipino nationals applied for OV on the last day of the registration. END
