23 November 2015 - The Philippine Consulate General in Chicago, in collaboration with the Philippine Trade and Investment Center in New York, hosted a business forum featuring Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General (DG) Lilia B. De Lima as part of a two-city working visit to promote the Philippines as an attractive investment destination.

DG De Lima arrived in Chicago from Toronto and gave a presentation at the forum “Doing Business in Philippine Economic Zones” on November 12 at the Morgan Stanley office in downtown Chicago.

At the forum, Consul General Generoso D.G. Calonge gave brief remarks highlighting the strong performance of the Philippine economy during the past decade, and the gains made by the country on several world business rankings and reports. DG De Lima then gave a presentation on the merits of locating one’s business within PEZA zones, as well as on the various incentives given by PEZA to qualified businesses.

After the presentation, DG De Lima held an open dialogue with the participants on a wide range of questions. A business networking reception concluded the event. END
