23 November 2015 – Philippine Ambassador to Austria Maria Zeneida Angara Collinson, Chair of the ASEAN Vienna Committee, and other Embassy officials participated in the ASEAN Business Circle investment forum organized by Advantage Austria, the foreign trade and investment promotion arm of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber on November 11.

The ASEAN Ambassadors in Vienna and Singapore’s non-resident Ambassador to Austria were likewise present.

Ambassador Angara Collinson cited the Philippines’ strong macroeconomic fundamentals, demographic advantage, PPP program, and its robust and competent workforce as incentives to investing in the Philippines before an audience of about 100 representatives from various Austrian companies.

Ambassador Angara Collinson cited the realization of the ASEAN Economic Community by the end of this year, which opens the dynamic ASEAN economy and its more than 600 million consumers to prospective Austrian investors.

After the statements given by the ASEAN Ambassadors and their representatives, the participants and Embassy officials stayed on hand to answer inquiries and provide informational materials to the participants present. END
