23 November 2015 - Philippine Consul General in Jeddah Imelda M. Panolong was received on November 11 by His Royal Highness Prince Khalid bin Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Emir of Makkah Region at the Governor’s Office in Jeddah, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

Consul General Panolong and HRH Prince Khalid discussed various issues of mutual interest between the two countries, including the presence of the 70,000 strong Filipino community in Makkah Al-Mukkarramah Region. Consul General Panolong thanked HRH Prince Khalid for the generosity and hospitality of the Saudi government to Filipino nationals in the region. She expressed her commitment to ensure that Filipinos will continue to contribute to the overall development of the Kingdom.

During the call, HRH Prince Khalid welcomed the posting of Consul General Panolong to Jeddah. He offered the help and assistance of his office on issues and concerns that the Philippine Consulate General will bring to the attention of the Governor’s office.

Consul General Panolong expressed her gratitude for the support and warm hospitality of the Saudi Government in hosting Filipino workers and their families and thanked the Emir for his continued support and assistance. END
