SG TESDA

03 December 2015 - Philippine Ambassador to Singapore Antonio A. Morales and Philippine Labour Attaché Ramon Tionloc Jr. led other officials and representatives of the Philippine Embassy in awarding certificates to successful candidates of the assessment conducted by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) to qualify them as certified volunteer teachers/instructors of TESDA on November 22 at the Philippine Bayanihan Centre Singapore. The assessment conducted earlier this year will mean that those who completed programs taught by these qualified volunteer teachers will be deemed recognized by TESDA.  A total of 78 volunteers from six skills training providers covering areas such as caregiving and nursing care, baking and cookery, dressmaking and massage therapy were recognized. According to Labour Attaché Tionloc TESDA’s long-term plan is to develop a pool of Singapore-based assessors from among the volunteer teachers to enable them to conduct future assessments in a more convenient and timely manner. Philippine Bayanihan Society Singapore President Ranvir Kumar Singh also witnessed the occasion. END
