07 December 2015 – Philippine Ambassador to South Africa Joseph Gerard B. Angeles presented his credentials as non-resident Ambassador to the President of Namibia, Hage Geingob, on November 19 at the State House of Namibia in the country’s capital, Windhoek.
In his meeting with President Geingob, Ambassador Angeles conveyed the greetings of President Benigno S. Aquino and expressed his hope that his tenure can contribute substantively to further strengthening the excellent relations between the Philippines and Namibia.
Ambassador Angeles thanked President Geingob and the Government of Namibia for the hospitality and protection extended to the Filipinos working in Namibia and he expressed hope that relations between the two countries would expand to cover more areas of cooperation given the close ties between its peoples.
President Geingob welcomed Ambassador Angeles and toasted to his successful mission as the non-resident Ambassador of the Philippines to Namibia. The President assured Ambassador Angeles of the full support of the Namibian Government to undertake activities that will lead to closer ties and mutually beneficial engagements between the Philippines and Namibia.
