WARSAW BAZAAR

07 December 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Warsaw participated in the 8th Spouses of Heads of Mission (SHOM) International Charity Bazaar on November 29 at the Marriot Hotel Warsaw.

The Philippine Embassy sold jewelries made of Philippine pearls, corals and other native materials. Most of the proceeds from the sales are donated to charities. Some Embassy stalls also sold raffle tickets for paid vacation trips to their countries.

Polish First Lady, Madame Agata Kornhauser-Duda, graced the event. A children’s Creche was organized by the Canadian School of Warsaw for children aged 8 and older. The school also prepared a concert for children.

About 60 Embassies participated in the Bazaar. Guests were treated to a culinary overload with samplers of cuisine from different countries. Last year, the Bazaar attracted around 4,500 visitors and was able to raise around PLN 405,000, which was donated to about 17 Polish-based charities.
