MACAU FOOD

08 December 2015 - A Filipino restaurant, Umami Philippine Flavors, participated in the 15th Macau Food Festival held from November 13 to 29 at the Sai Van Lake area in Macau SAR.

The food festival, organized by the United Association of Food and Beverage Merchants of Macao, featured over 150 food vendors that represented cuisine from different parts of the world. This year’s festival centered on the theme “Fab Flavours” which grouped the stall into five zones, namely: Chinese Restaurant Zone, European Delicacies Zone, Asian Delicacies Zone, Local Delicacies Zone and Dessert Zone.

Umami restaurant sold Filipino favorites including inihaw na manok, chicken mami, lomi, batchoy, rice cakes, ensaymada, barbequed meats, halo-halo, mais con hielo, leche flan, and sago’t gulaman, among others. One of the more popular booths at the festival, Umami experienced robust sales and attracted both Filipino and foreign customers.

The two-week food festival is considered a highlight in the Macau cultural calendar and attracts thousands of visitors yearly. END
