09 December 2015 – Officials of the Philippine Embassy in Brunei, headed by Vice Consul Melvin C. Almonguera, led a meeting with officials from the Indonesian Embassy in Brunei, headed by Deputy Head of Mission Dr. Pribadi Sutiono, on December 04 at the Philippine Embassy.

This was the second time the officials from both Embassies convened, following the initial meeting last March. These meetings, held at regular intervals, were initiated after the signing of the Joint Declaration of the Government of the Philippines and the Government of Indonesia on the Protection of Migrants and Migrant Workers in February 2015. They serve as an opportunity for the exchange information on the respective programs and services of the Embassies and to compare notes on assistance they have rendered for their respective nationals in Brunei Darussalam.

The next meeting is scheduled to be held at the Indonesian Embassy in May of 2016. END
