09 December 2015 - Colorful images of Philippine tourist attractions grabbed the attention of visitors at the Bangladesh Travel & Tourism Fair (BTTF) 2015, which was organized by the Tour Operators’ Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) and held at the International Convention City in Bashundhara, Dhaka from November 19 to 21. The Philippines was represented by Pinoy Travels, a member of TOAB.
Pinoy Travels is owned by Md. Anisuzzaman, a Bangladeshi married to a Filipina, who wanted to promote Philippine tourism at the fair. The Philippine booth, which proudly displayed the ‘It’s More Fun in the Philippines’ theme, was set up by Pinoy Travels with the assistance of the Philippine Embassy in Dhaka. Big posters featuring Filipino lifestyle and culture, as well as its scenic landscapes and adventure tours, were posted on the walls, while tourism videos were played at the booth. Visitors were also given brochures provided by the Philippine Department of Tourism.
This is the 8th edition of the BTTF, which largely aims to provide TOAB members and other tour operators, travel agents, airlines, hotels, banks, resorts and amusement parks operating in Bangladesh an opportunity to showcase their businesses. END
