10 December 2015 - The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta hosted a Christmas celebration, “Paskong Pilipino” for the Filipino Community in Indonesia on November 29 at the Philippine Embassy compound.
The festive celebration started with a holy mass officiated by Father Jay Amamangpang, a Filipino Priest from Bandung, and was attended by some two hundred members of Filipino community in Indonesia.
In her message, Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Maria Lumen B. Isleta wished the Filipino community a blessed holiday celebration and updated them on the various activities and programs of the Embassy and its plans for the future collaboration between the Embassy and members of the Filcom in Indonesia.
Filipinos in different sectors in Indonesia took part in the program, with performances from the Voice of Praise choir, teachers from Sekolah Bukit Sion, St. Nicholas School, AbbaLove Church, local artists and the children of Defense Attaché Captain Guevarra. Prizes for games and raffle draws were sponsored by Filipino Companies and individuals in Jakarta, which included Philippine Airlines, Cebu Pacific Air, PT Liwayway, PT URC, PT Delta-San Miguel Beer, Century Property and others.
