MANADO FORUM

10 December 2015 - The Philippine Consulate General in Manado attended the Forum Discussion Regarding Diplomatic Facilities Granted to All Consular Missions and Its Officials in Indonesia in Tuban, held in Bali last November 20.

The event was hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Indonesia (KEMLU), and led by the Director for Diplomatic Facilities Mansyur Pangeran, and Director for Consular Affairs Tri Tharyat, joined by the Director for North and Central American Affairs Ibnu Hadin, representatives from the Police Directorate for Security and Vital Objects (Diplomatic Police), Tax Office of Jakarta, Revenue Office of Denpassar, Revenue Office of Bandung, Directorate General of Customs and Excise, and Directorate of Traffic in Bali. Vice Consul and Administrative Officer Jan Sherwin P. Wenceslao from the Philippine Consulate General in Manado attended the event. Foreign missions from the Consulates General of Timor Leste, Australia, India, Japan, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, China, and the U.S. also sent representatives to attend the forum.

The forum presented an opportunity for all consular missions in Indonesia to discuss diplomatic privileges and the implementation of regulations, procedures and facilities afforded by the Indonesian government to all consular missions, as well as to convey information on new regulations and privileges regarding diplomatic privileges.
