11 December 2015 – Philippine Ambassador to Portugal Philippe J. Lhuillier paid a courtesy call on Mayor Fernando Medina of Lisbon, the capital city of Portugal last November 20.
The courtesy call was an opportunity for both officials to discuss ways in which the Philippine Embassy and the City Council of Lisbon can collaborate on possible projects that would enhance Philippine-Portuguese bilateral relations. It was also an opportunity for Ambassador Lhuillier to inform Mayor Medina of the Embassy’s plans to celebrate and highlight the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Philippines and Portugal in 2016. A number of cultural events in Lisbon are being planned by the Embassy to highlight this milestone in Philippine-Portuguese bilateral relations. END
