Philippine Ambassador to Myanmar Alex G. Chua joined “Star ng Pasko,” attended by around 360 members of the Filipino community. He also took the opportunity to remind the Filipino community that they are partners of the Philippine government in promoting Philippine interests and in building good relations between the Philippines and Myanmar, which will celebrate 60th years of diplomatic relations next year.

“Star ng Pasko” pays tribute to the hard-working Filipinos in Myanmar who, despite being away from their families in the Philippines, still manage to celebrate Christmas with traditional Filipino jubilation.
Numerous prizes – gift packs, a cellular phone and a round trip ticket from Yangon to Singapore – were given away in a raffle draw supported by Philippine, international and local companies in Yangon. There were also games and musical performances that rendered glitter and flair to the evening event. END
