19 September 2013 – Philippine Ambassador to Italy Virgilio A. Reyes, Jr., accompanied by his wife, Maria Felisa Luarca-Reyes visited on August 22 the city of Bologna to meet the different Filipino associations in the region.

In his message, Ambassador Reyes emphasized the importance of unity among Filipinos in Italy to advance their shared interests, and participation in the various projects of the Philippine Embassy in Rome and Philippine Consulate General in Milan. He also addressed the concerns raised by the Filipinos -- from welfare and labor issues to consular and cultural activities.

The meeting was organized by the Federation of Filipino Associations in Bologna and attended by at least 12 of its member associations. END
