19 September 2013 – As part of its economic diplomacy initiatives, the Philippine Consulate General in Milan treated officers of Benvenuto Club, Milan’s foremost expatriate community group, to a special lunch of Philippine cuisine at the Consul General’s official residence on September 11.

The guests were Club President Maria Tieghi, Vice President Leah Maggia-Rosa, Ms. Mirella Dicancro, President of Benvenuto subgroup Orientals Abroad, and Artea Coordinators Ms. Gloria de Ausen and Ms. Theresa Liu.

The ladies expressed their appreciation for knowing more about the Philippines through our cuisine and have requested a presentation to a bigger group of Benvenuto members. A part of Ms. Dicancro’s appreciation letter states, “it would be a shame not to let the other members know about Philippine Gastronomy…” END
