In his remarks, Ambassador Montealegre, on behalf of the officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy, conveyed his Christmas greetings to the attendees and thanked the Filipino community for their continued support and cooperation with the Embassy and for the significant impact they and other overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) around the world have made and to the Philippine economy.

The occasion also displayed the different Christmas decorations made by Embassy personnel using recyclable materials, while the venue and its backdrop featured Filipino native materials and decors such as sinamay and capis, among others.

This is the first time that the Philippine Embassy in Brunei hosted such an event. With the positive response and participation from Filipino community leaders and representatives, the Embassy plans to hold such a gathering annually during the Christmas season. END
