15 January 2016 – Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Constancio R. Vingno, Jr. paid a courtesy call on Ahmed Abdul Rahman Al Jarman, Assistant Foreign Minister for Political Affairs at the latter’s office in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Building in Abu Dhabi, UAE on January 06.

During the call, Ambassador Vingno and Assistant Foreign Minister Al Jarman noted the good bilateral relations between the Philippines and the UAE since it established diplomatic relations in 1980. Both expressed intention to enhance the bilateral relations further.

Ambassador Vingno referred to bilateral agreements that have been signed in the past by both sides and noted the need for more agreements not only to elevate the diplomatic relations but also for the mutual benefit of the peoples of both countries.

Ambassador Vingno and Assistant Foreign Minister Al Jarman also discussed possible high-level visits this year from both sides.

Assistant Foreign Minister Al Jarman assured Ambassador Vingno of his office’s support and assistance to all his endeavors during his tenure as Philippine Ambassador. END
