21 January 2016 – Philippine Honorary Consul in Zürich, Dr. Urs Lustenberger, travelled to the Philippines from January 13 to 16 to gain insights and discuss with the Philippine Overseas and Employment Administration (POEA) and Professional Regulations Commission (PRC) the possibility of a formal agreement between the Philippines and Switzerland for the entry of Filipino nurses to Switzerland.

Dr. Lustenberger’s visit was coordinated with and duly supported by the Philippine Embassy in Berne and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) in Geneva.

The Philippine Embassy and POLO in Berne are studying the possibility of replicating the existing Philippines-Germany government-to-government agreement called the “Triple Win Project,” which allows Filipino nurses to be employed in Germany upon compliance with some German language requirements. END
