27 January 2016 – Visiting officials of Philippine housing agencies were hosted to dinner by Minister and Consul General Victorio Mario M. Dimagiba Jr., Chargé d’Affaires, at the official residence of the Philippines in Singapore on January 22. The group conducted a study tour in Singapore on January 20 to 23 organized by the office of 3rd District Negros Occidental Congressman Alfredo Benitez, who is concurrently Chairman of the House Committee on Housing and Development.
During the visit, the group attended briefings conducted by officials of the Singapore Housing Development Board (HDB), Central Provident Fund (CPF), and Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). The group also went for a drive-by at a new HDB project near Punggo Waterway Part. The study tour aimed at familiarizing and exposing the Philippine officials to Singapore’s experience and best practices in public housing and urban planning. END
