28 January 2016 - Philippine Ambassador to Lithuania Patricia Ann V. Paez and Philippine Honorary Consul to Lithuania Atty. David Soloveicikas held consultations on how to infuse vigor into Philippine-Lithuania relations during their meeting on January 26.

Honorary Consul Soloveicikas informed Ambassador Paez that Lithuania has one of the most innovative laws within the European Union on public or government procurement and this could be an area for possible bilateral engagement.

He also mentioned the availability of technologies in Lithuania for the conversation of liquid wastes into potable water which could be used in cities, residential areas, or even for households.

They also discussed the present bilateral trade profile and how this could be improved.

The Philippines’ first-ever participation in Lithuania’s international tourism fair called “ADVENTUR 2016” held from January 22 to 24, after more than 24 years of diplomatic ties, breathed new life into Philippines-Lithuania bilateral ties. The Philippine Honorary Consulate assisted the Philippine Embassy based in Warsaw in its participation in this annual event which drew thousands of Lithuanians. END
