01 February 2016 – A delegation from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Local Government Academy (LGA) conducted a study visit to Indonesia from January 25 to 26.  The delegation, headed by Undersecretary and Chief of Staff Gefer Mancol, came to Indonesia to learn about their counterpart’s management strategies and best practices that could be replicated towards good governance. They also aimed to learn about Indonesia’s preparation for ASEAN Economic Integration.

The delegation paid a courtesy call on Philippine Ambassador to Indonesia Maria Lumen Isleta on the first day of their study visit.  The DILG/LGA delegation was treated to a welcome lunch at the Embassy by the Ambassador.

In meetings arranged by the Philippine Embassy in Jakarta, the delegation had productive discussions with officials from the Indonesian Ministry of Home Affairs, Ministry of Villages, Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration, Ministry of National Development Planning and the Ministry of Trade. END
