11 February 2016 – The Philippine Embassy in Yangon, as part of its celebration of the 60 years of Philippines-Myanmar bilateral relations, participated in the International Culture and Food Festival on February 03. The festival, organized by Horizon International in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture, showcased the crafts, cuisine and dances from 42 participating countries.
The Philippine booth featured crafts made of capiz shells, agricultural products and Philippine delicacies yema (custard candy), puto (steamed rice cake), and polvoron. It also distributed ice cream contained in a colorfully painted sorbetes (ice cream) cart to the delight of attendees. END
