16 February 2016 - Jordanian author, Mr. Omar Al-Armouthy, together with his research team, met with Philippine Ambassador to Jordan Junever M. Mahilum West on February 09 to discuss his next project to write a book on Philippine-Jordan bilateral relations and a general reference book about the Philippines, both in the Arabic language.   

Mr. Al-Armouthy is a well known-Jordanian author who has written a number of books on Jordan’s foreign relations such as with Indonesia and China. He also wrote a four-volume encyclopedia about Jordan, which he donated to the Embassy in 2014.

During the meeting he donated his books, entitled “Memoir of Major General Hikmat Miyar,” “Story of Ambition: Senator Taghreed Hikmat,” “Al Hussein: A Nation in a Man,” “China with Jordanian Eyes,” and “Sheik Mithqal Al Faiz,” for the Embassy’s library. 

The Embassy is currently expanding its book collection in line with its plans to establish a Sentro Rizal branch in Jordan this year. END
