16 February 2016 - Chairman of the National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) Dr. Felipe M. de Leon, Jr. made a courtesy call on Undersecretary for Cultural Affairs Sheikh Hamad bin Hilal Al-Ma’amari of the Ministry of Heritage and Culture (MOHC) of the Sultanate of Oman on February 03.
Chairman de Leon was accompanied by Ms. Alya Monina B. Rodriguez, Culture and Arts Officer in-charge of Middle East and African Affairs in the NCCA, and Ms. Maria Odessa P. Cruz, the Cultural and Tourism Officer of the Philippine Embassy in Muscat. Other MOHC officials present were Mr. Yousuf bin Ibrahim Al Bulushi, Director General of Organization and Cultural Affairs and Director of the Muscat International Book Fair, and Mr. Ahmed Rashid Alshihi, International Relation Officer.
Chairman de Leon and Undersecretary Al-Ma’amari had earlier signed the Philippines-Oman Memorandum of Understanding in Cultural Cooperation on February 02 on the sidelines of the Philippines-Oman 2nd Joint Bilateral Consultation Meeting (JBCM). END
