18 February 2016 – The Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi led the oath-taking of the 2015 Special Professional Licensure Board Examination (SPLBE) passers in Abu Dhabi in separate ceremonies organized by the various Filipino professional groups from December 2015 to February 2016.
First to take their oath were the new 112 Filipino nurses in ceremonies held at the Abu Dhabi Country Club on November 27, 2015, organized by the Filipino Nurses Association in the Emirates (FNAE). Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Constancio R. Vingno, Jr. was the Guest of Honor and Speaker, while Third Secretary and Vice Consul Rowena Pangilinan-Daquipil led the oath-taking.
The oath-taking of new Civil Engineers was held on December 04, 2015 at the Royal Rose Hotel Abu Dhabi and coincided with the Year-End Party and Induction of the Board of Directors of the Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE) - Abu Dhabi Chapter. Second Secretary and Consul Ma. Roseny Fangco was the Guest of Honor and Speaker for the event, while Vice Consul Pangilinan-Daquipil officiated the oath-taking.
The Embassy also administered the oath-taking of a new mechanical engineer and a new master plumber in an event hosted by the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME) – Abu Dhabi Chapter on December 05, 2015 at the Tryp Hotel. Engineer Pablito Ocampo, PSME National President, was the Guest of Honor and Speaker. He also led the induction of the new officers of the PSME. Vice Consul Pangilinan-Daquipil officiated the oath-taking of the new board passers.
Oath-taking ceremonies continued with 12 new Filipino accountants in Abu Dhabi on December 06, 2015 held in Royal Rose Hotel, organized by the Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) – Abu Dhabi Chapter. The oath-taking was led by Hon. Grace T. Baysa, Vice Chairman of the Board of Accountancy of the Philippine Regulation Commission. Vice Consul Pangilinan-Daquipil delivered a message on behalf of the Philippine Embassy.
Nine new respiratory therapists took their oath of profession on December 10, 2015 in an event organized by the Emirates Association of Respiratory Care Practitioners (EARCP) held in Murjan Asfar Restaurant with Ambassador Vingno as the Guest of Honor and Speaker. Vice Consul Pangilinan-Daquipil, once again, led the oath-taking.
New Filipino architects in Abu Dhabi took their oath on December 11, 2015 at Sofitel Hotel. The event was organized by the United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) – Abu Dhabi Chapter. Ambassador Vingno was the Guest of Honor and Speaker while Vice Consul Pangilinan-Daquipil led the oath-taking. Earlier on November 20, 2015, Ambassador Vingno also graced the oath-taking of new architects hosted by the UAP-Dubai Chapter. A total of 166 Filipino architects from across the Emirates passed the SPLBE conducted in September 2015.
Also on December 11, 2015, new Filipino radiographers took their oath at Regency Downtown Hotel, hosted by the Filipino Radiographers. The event also coincided with the group’s first General Assembly. Ambassador Vingno was the Guest of Honor and Speaker while Vice Consul Pangilinan-Daquipil led the oath taking.
Lastly, the oath-taking of passers of the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) was held on February 12 at Abu Dhabi Country Club organized by The Filipino International Teachers in the Society. Thirty-five (35) out of 96 examinees successfully passed the exam. Ambassador Vingno was the Guest of Honor and Speaker while Vice Consul Pangilinan-Daquipil led the oath taking.
In all these events, Ambassador Vingno congratulated the board passers for their dedication in passing the exams. He also lauded the Filipino organizations which constitute the Filipino Professional Group (FPG) for their support to the examinees and the Philippine Regulatory Commission (PRC) in the conduct of the exams. He also highlighted the role of the professionals in raising the image of the Filipinos across the UAE, in particular, and in the Middle East region, in general. Finally, he emphasized the continuing economic growth and development of the Philippines and encouraged the professionals to take part in the economic trajectory of the country by investing or establishing businesses in the Philippines for successful reintegration.
