23 February 2016 –The Philippine Embassy in Kuala Lumpur said today that the new set of officers of the Federation of Filipino Associations in Malaysia (FFAM), the umbrella organization of Filipino organizations in the country, were sworn to their respective offices on February 21 before representatives of FFAM member-organizations at the Embassy grounds. Their oath was administered by Philippine Ambassador to Malaysia J. Eduardo Malaya.

In his inspirational message, Ambassador Malaya lauded the FFAM as a partner of the Embassy in its cultural and community activities and noted how much it has grown during the past five years.

“The FFAM has grown from strength to strength during the past five years of its existence.  What used to be a competition among organizations now turned into cooperation, as the FFAM became a venue for its member-organizations to work together in upholding the profile and promoting the welfare of Filipinos in Malaysia.  We look forward to the next years, where a forward-looking vision, proactive leadership and strong partnership will definitely be upheld,” he said.
