26 February 2016 – Philippine Consul General to Milan Marichu Mauro gave the opening remarks during the Personality Development and Character Formation for Community Building Seminar organized by La Comunita Filippina di Modena (COFILMO) on February 21 at the UNA Hotel in Modena, a city in the Emilia Romagna region of Italy.

In her remarks, Consul General Mauro reminded everyone that character, more than education, is what molds a person. She urged everyone present to be mindful of others, to be more tolerant and respectful of people around them as this character would reflect on the entire Filipino community.

The Character Formation for Community Building seminar was led by Rev. Fr. Narciso Estrella Jr. while the Personality Development module of the seminar had Mr. Percival Capsa as guest speakers.

Consul General Mauro also commended COFILMO led by its President, Mr. Consorcio Amado for organizing the event that promotes the betterment of its members.  She also met the representative of the city newspaper La Gazetta di Modena. END
