29 February 2016 - Philippine Ambassador to Mexico Catalino R. Dilem, Jr., together with the officials and staff of the Philippine Embassy in Mexico and members of the Filipino community, led the commemoration of the 30th Anniversary of EDSA Revolution on February 24 at the Embassy’s premises.
On the occasion, Ambassador Dilem recounted the events that happened during the EDSA Revolution in 1986 and encouraged Filipinos to live by the ideals that Senator Benigno Aquino, Sr. stood for.
Ambassador Dilem also took the opportunity to inform the audience on the latest developments in the Philippines concerning the West Philippine Sea/South China Sea issue, positive trends in the Philippine economy and how overseas Filipinos have contributed to this, as well as the forthcoming Philippine national elections.
A commemorative exhibit on the EDSA 1986 People Revolution was also set up at the Embassy’s lobby. END
