UAE GULFOOD

03 March 2016 – Philippine Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Constancio R. Vingno, Jr. attended the opening day of the 21st “Gulfood: The Gulf Food Hotel and Equipment Exhibition and Salon Culinaire” at the Dubai World Trade Center, Dubai, United Arab Emirates held on February 21. The exhibition ran until February 25.

Ambassador Vingno was joined by Philippine Consul General to Dubai Paul Raymund P. Cortes, Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC-Dubai) Commercial Counselor Eric C. Elnar, and Consul Ferdinand Flores to support the Department of Trade and Industry – Center for International Trade Expositions and Missions (DTI-CITEM) and the participating Philippine food companies.

The Philippine food companies showcased their products at the Philippine pavilion – branded “Food Philippines” – and highlighted the country’s halal-certified food and “power” fruits.

According to CITEM, Gulfood is one of the highest-volume trading platforms where Philippine food companies can best position themselves for the export market in the MENASA region. END.
