03 March 2016 - The Philippine Embassy in Jakarta welcomed 35 visiting Grade 10 students of the Mentari International School Jakarta on February 24. 

The visit of the students, accompanied by their teachers, Mr. Matthew Roberge and Ms. Rossinie Mana-ay, is part of their study of the contemporary history of Southeast Asia, which aims to deepen the students’ understanding of current issues affecting the region.

A lecture was delivered by Second Secretary and Consul Jed Llona, Head of Political Section of the Embassy. Consul Llona discussed the history, cooperation and current developments between Philippines and Indonesia.

A tour to the Embassy’s Consular Section and Sentro Rizal Library was made after the lecture. The students enjoyed the banana turon, sago’t gulaman and chips from PT Liwayway Indonesia offered to them after the activities. END
