03 March 2016 - Officials from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Yunnan Sub-council, led by its Vice Inspector Yao Yunxiang, paid a courtesy call on Philippine Ambassador to China Erlinda F. Basilio on February 25.
During the call, Vice Inspector Yao informed Ambassador Basilio that the Yunnan Provincial Government is organizing the 24th China Kunming Import and Export Commodities Fair (Kunming Fair) and the 4th China-South Asia Expo (CSAExpo), scheduled to be held in Kunming City, Yunnan Province from June 12 to 17.
He took the opportunity to invite Ambassador Basilio to attend this year’s fair, and expressed hope that more Philippine enterprises, either based in China or in the Philippines, consider participating in the event.
The Kunming Fair is a regional international commodities fair co-sponsored by the Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM), and the People’s Governments of the provinces of Yunnan, Sichuan, Guizhou, Chongqing Municipality, the Autonomous Regions of Guangxi Zhuang and Tibet, and Chengdu City.
The CSAExpo is a comprehensive exposition approved by the State Council, and is co-hosted by the Chinese MOFCOM, the People’s Government of Yunnan, and the commercial departments of South Asian countries. The CSAExpo, held simultaneously with the Fair, aims to serve as a venue for enterprises from China and South Asia to showcase their respective products and conduct business-to-business meetings and negotiations.
