07 March 2016 – The Philippine Consulate General in Hong Kong, led by Consul General Bernardita Catalla, participated in the ASEAN Family Day on February 27 held at the Residence of the Indonesian Consulate General.

Consul General Catalla, together with the other Consuls General namely: Hoang Chi Trung (Vietnam), Jacky Foo (Singapore), Chalief Akbar Tjandraningrat (Indonesia), Zaw Zaw Soe (Myanmar), Consul Sam Chivorn (Cambodia), Consul General Noralizan Abdul Monin (Brunei Darussalam), Deputy Consul General Marinee Suwanmoli (Thailand; partly hidden), and Consul General Tengku Sirajuzzaman bin Tengku Mohamed Ariffin (Malaysia), cut the ceremonial cake after the singing of the ASEAN Way.

The Filipino community in Hong Kong with the children, donned in their traditional Filipiniana, participated in the event. The ASEAN Family Day also featured games, various ASEAN cuisines, and traditional performances from respective ASEAN member states. END
