09 March 2016 - The Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu conducted a consular outreach program from March 05 to 06 in Lihue, Kauai. Filipinos in Kauai availed themselves of the consular services extended by the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu during the two-day outreach activity held in coordination with the Kauai Filipino Community Council (KFCC).

A consular team of seven members provided 180 passport, civil registry, notarial and authentication, and dual citizenship services in the island.

The Philippine Consulate General also strongly encouraged the applicants to vote in, and to spread the word about the upcoming May 2016 Philippine national elections, highlighting that for this year, the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has adopted the Automated Election System (AES) Modified Postal Voting at the Philippine Consulate General in Honolulu for purposes of casting overseas absentee votes from April 09 to May 09.
