16 March 2016 –The Philippine Embassy in Beirut conducted its second outreach mission and field distribution of COMELEC Voter IDs on March 13 at the grounds of St. Francis Church, Hamra.

The Embassy Team was composed of Vice Consul Grace Perpetua, Cultural Officer Ma. Chloe Silverio, Assistance-to-Nationals Officer Julie Rose Pasco, Information Officer Loremie Bautista and Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) staff Joselito Sunga. OWWA-Local Hire/Administrative StaffA total of 192 COMELEC Voter IDs were released on this day.

The Embassy’s relentless efforts to actively encourage registered Filipinos working in Lebanon to participate in the upcoming national elections will continue up to the start of the 30-day Overseas Voting period on April 09. The next Embassy outreach for the distribution of COMELEC Voter IDs will take place on the following dates: March 20 at the St. Joseph Church, Tabaris; and March 27 at the St. Francis Church, Hamra.


The Embassy reminds all registered Filipinos in Lebanon to vote during the upcoming overseas voting that will take place from April 09 to May 09, including Saturdays, Sundays and holidays. Voting will take place at the Embassy from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and field voting will also be conducted on weekends. The schedules will be announced on the Embassy’s Facebook. END
