28 March 2016 - The Embassy of the Philippines in Brasília, together with the Filipino Community in Brasília and some Brazilian friends, celebrated National Women’s Month with a simple gathering at the Embassy.

The program highlights consisted of a seminar on basic self-defense techniques for women conducted by Mestre Herbert “Dada” Inocalla, an Arnis teacher in Brazil since 1976 and a lecture on basic women’s rights under Brazilian law by Dr. Luna Borges Pereira Santos, a lawyer and Professor of Law from the University of Brasília.

The Embassy also seized the opportunity to conduct a simulation on the voting procedure for the upcoming April 09 to May 09 overseas elesction. END
