11 April 2016 - Philippine Ambassador to China Mrs. Erlinda F. Basilio received Ms. Zhang (Agatha) Jiamian, Director of Public Relations Outreach; Ms. Bai (Angela) Yihua, Director of International Department; and Ms. Jiang (Amy) Hongyan, Commissioner of International Department of the China Association for Promoting International Economic and Technical Cooperation Business and Economic Work Committee (CAPCBEWC) at the Philippine Embassy on March 23.

Ms. Zhang presented to the Embassy CAPCBEWC’s platforms for potential business matchmaking and cooperation in terms of trade, culture and tourism between the Chinese investors and the Philippine business sector, such as trade exhibitions, forums, conferences and media exposure.

CAPCBEWC is registered with the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It is a subordinate association of China Association for Science and Technology (CAST). It promotes business and economic idea, organizes, coordinates, leads and pushes development of economic industry. It aims to service business enterprises and to promote economic development.

CAST is the largest national non-government organization of scientific and technological workers in China. It serves as the bridge that links the Communist Party of China and the Chinese government to the China’s science and technology community. END
