27 September 2013 — The Philippine Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa held a mobile consular mission in Lusaka, Zambia from September 21 to 22 to serve Filipinos living and working there.
Upon the request of the Filipino community in Lusaka, Philippine Ambassador Constancio Vingno, Jr. instructed Embassy Consular Assistant and Attaché Victor M. Atangan to fly to Lusaka to provide the needed consular services there. Filipinos in Zambia are made up of doctors, accountants, engineers, factory workers and miners living and working in the provinces of Lusaka, Solwezi and Copperbelt.
Mr. Atangan was shown warm hospitality by the members of the Filipino community in Lusaka, organized as “PinoyZam Unlimited.” Mr. Atangan processed a total of 22 e-Passport applications and two reports of birth during the consular mission. END
