27 September 2013 – The officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy in Budapest, headed by Ambassador Eleanor L. Jaucian, travelled to Eger, Hungary, to support the Philippine team that competed in the 18th CMAS Underwater Hockey World Championships held from August 23 to September 01.
The 23-member Philippine Underwater Hockey team, led by Dennis Valdez, was the only Asian team to compete against 17 participating countries comprising 68 teams. Team Philippines won against Germany, Argentina and host country Hungary. END
