18 April 2016 – Philippine Ambassador to the World Trade Organization in Geneva Esteban Conejos, Jr. cast his ballot at the Voting Center of the Philippine Consulate General in Geneva on April 12.
Ambassador Conejos called on fellow Filipinos to exercise their right to vote stating that, “Filipinos living in Switzerland have been given a unique opportunity to select the next President and other national officials who will lead our country in the next six years. I urge everyone to exercise their right to vote. Stand up and be counted! Let your voice be heard through the ballot on how you think our country should be governed.”
Ambassador Conejos was joined at the Voting Center by his wife, Mrs. Celine Conejos, who also ensured that her vote be counted in this Presidential elections.
There are a total of 2,334 certified Filipino voters at the Consulate, which has jurisdiction over Geneva and Vaud. END
