25 April 2016 – Philippine Consul General to Los Angeles Leo Herrera-Lim paid a courtesy call on Los Angeles Police Department Charlie Beck on April 19 at the LAPD Headquarters.

The two officials discussed ways of further strengthening the cooperation between the LAPD and the Philippine Consulate General, considering that Filipinos represent the second largest ethnic group in Los Angeles County.

During the meeting, Chief Beck expressed his support for closer cooperation with the Consulate General on law enforcement programs.  Consul General Herrera-Lim thanked Chief Beck for his continued support, and the annual PNP training program, now running on its eleventh year.

After the meeting with Chief Beck, Consul General Herrera-Lim was provided a tour of the facilities of the LAPD Air Support Division and 911 operations center. END
