28 April 2016 - The Philippine Consulate General in Milan hosted a Franchise Investment Opportunities Seminar for the Filipino community on April 25 at the Consulate’s premises.

Led by Ms. Bing Sibal-Limjoco, Vice Chairman of the Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) and CEO of International Franchise Corp. Philippines (Francorp), the seminar introduced to Filipinos in Milan and Northern Italy the opportunities presented by franchising.

Ms. Sibal-Limjoco explained the concept of franchising and its benefits and advantages. She also discussed the franchising sector’s profile and growth in the Philippines, in particular, the role of PFA in the promotion and growth of franchising in the country.

More than 30 people attended the event. They were provided guidelines on how to invest in the right business venture including the challenges and practical tips of owning a franchise. Ms. Sibal-Limjoco also outlined how to determine the right business enterprise.

The seminar gave the participants ideas on where to invest their hard-earned savings.

The Philippine Consulate General regularly hosts activities on financial education as part of its commitment to enrich the lives of Filipino overseas workers in Milan and Northern Italy.

Ms. Sibal-Limjuco was joined by Executive Director Chit Estrada and Joanna Tomagan, Senior Project Manager, both of the Philippine Franchising Association. The PFA officials will attend the World Franchising Conference in Bologna from April 26 to 28. END
